Academics and Programs

The Berkshire Hills Christian School utilizes an educational plan which emphasizes the importance of Christian values. Physical, mental, and spiritual development are given equal emphasis to promote well rounded individuals. Creation based science and Bible principles are taught along with Reading, Spelling, Math, Social Studies, Physical Education, Music theory, and Art. A networked computer system contains educational software for math, language arts, typing, word processing, and spread sheets, which further supplements traditional classroom teaching. The Curriculum is also in harmony with the requirements of the State of Massachusetts for elementary schools.

Programs include seasonal outdoor activities such as soccer, cross country skiing, and the Presidential Fitness Program each spring. Marked hiking trails are close by for supervised hikes in warmer weather. Field trips are planned each month at various educational sites from Boston, to the Berkshires and New York State.
